Colleagues,

The Media Library of Teaching Skills, a free, web-based adult education professional development video collection, has a new addition on work-related computer-assisted reading and numeracy instruction. Recorded last month at the Notre Dame Education Center in Lawrence, Massachusetts, the two-part video includes interviews with administrators, computer-assisted instruction coaches and students; it shows students using the instructional software and getting assistance from coaches in the computer lab. This is the basic skills component of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) job training program.

The Media Library of Teaching Skills now has ten videos (ESOL/ESL, Family Literacy, Numeracy, Reading, and Writing) that were made in programs in Massachusetts and Vermont. The web site's front page has a link to a list of nearly 60 free adult education professional development videos by others [http://mlots.org/Other_video.html] , making MLoTS the "go to" web site for free adult basic education professional development videos.
